Hi, I’m Gena—an award-winning portrait photographer serving the Atlanta Metro area, including Monroe, Conyers, Athens, and Lawrenceville. I’ve been passionate about photography since I was 12, when my mom gave me a Kodak Pocket Instamatic camera. From that moment on, I was hooked—captivated by the ability to turn everyday moments into lasting works of art.

Inspired by greats like Ansel Adams and Annie Leibovitz, I’ve spent years honing my craft—teaching myself, taking classes, and always pushing to improve. My early background in journalism and public relations helped shape my storytelling approach, whether I’m photographing a high school senior, a business leader, or a family of five.

In 2011, I officially opened my business (originally Gateway PhotoArtistry, now Gena Ford Photography) and never looked back. I specialize in senior portraits, family photography, headshots, personal branding, action sports, and event photography. My style is vibrant, expressive, and collaborative—I love helping clients feel comfortable in front of the camera and involved in the creative process.
